Ahhh … there was nearly no post for you all today. I write all my posts the night before they get published and let me just say, it’s been a tough old weekend! A Friday morning ultrasound revealed I had just had my fourth miscarriage in less than 18 months (yes I know … WTF). This put me in hospital Friday afternoon for a D&C and then a small complication meant I had to stay overnight. Whoah … hospital is like totally boring – totally makes you appreciate home.
Anyhoo – I am ok (trust me) but a little all over the place emotionally at the moment. Which reminds me of the adage that without rain, there are no rainbows. Hence today’s Pinterest theme. Enjoy

PS …
The last miscarriage I had was in May (the Friday before Mother’s Day ironically … how’s the timing on these last two?!). Back then it really hit home to me that here in Australia, the medical resources we have available to us are just amazing when it comes to pregnancy and the health of our babies and ourselves. We are so very lucky.
I wrote a post about it on my personal blog and at the end mention this wonderful charity that provides birthing kits to women in developing countries who are often giving birth at home in less than hygienic conditions. I am going to donate to them again now and would love if you would consider doing the same. $10 buys four birthing kits and potentially saves four lives. Which I think is wonderful.

Kelly I am so very sorry this has happened.
I have donated birthing kits previously, and will do it again today in your honour.
You are strong and you are amazing.
Darlingheart Kelly,
I just wanted to write to you, not sure exactly what to write, but more to send you some of the biggest, warmest, heartfelt hugs n kisses XOXOXO You’re so incredibly brave sharing that here with us. A very important message to share as I think a lot of women experience miscarriage and don’t know how to talk about it. Your rainbow theme was just beatiful and very uplifting.
Much love & strength & possivity (which you ooze),
Liza xxx
Bless you sweet, bless you for just taking it in your stride and bless you for talking about it…. the most important thing.. Off to donate a birthing kit just for you..
Seems like Pinterest is both our things on a Monday..sure we weren’t twins in another life?!.. do come over and join in my link party x
Oh Kelly, so so sad but so generous and wonderful you have shared this. I have just now made a small donation for my own 2 tiny and loved lost babies and think of you today. Amazing you have found strength in supporting others at this time. Very very beautiful and deeply inspiring. xx
Kelly, so very sad to hear about your little one – I think it’s amazing that you can think of supporting others at a time like this.. you’re a strong and kind lady x
*hugs* and rainbows
So sorry for your loss. We’ve just gone through something similar, (though not as many times) and your strength and positivity are a true inspiration. Sending you many a beautiful rainbow waiting for you in the future.
Sorry to hear of your loss. I had three myself in 12 months so i’m familiar with the rollercoaster of emotions. Thanks for the charity link, i’ll definitely be contributing.
