Putting pen to paper

I've been having IT difficulties this week with my other website (not hosted by Oz Blog Hosting, I hasten to add!), which have resulted in some rather choice swear words and a mental note that when it comes to hosting, you get what you pay for. But it got me thinking; since most of us now use … [Read more...]

Parasol Girls

My introduction to Antipodean cinema came in the form of an Australian film season that the BBC put on many years ago. The one which sticks most vividly in my mind is Peter Weir's "Picnic at Hanging Rock." The cinematography is exquisite, the soundtrack hauntingly sublime and the costumes … [Read more...]

Recyling Emotion with Little Branch

Origami Blues RANGE: Maree has been collecting Japanese origami papers for years. Anna’s first watercolours were only executed in prussian blue ink on ivory Arches watercolour paper. We fused our love of orientalism, solitude, bleeding symbolist flowers, Baudelaire and rain for this line.

Reading through the Jan-Feb 2011 issue of frankie magazine I first discovered and then felt an immediate rapport with the beautiful artwork of the featured designs from Little Branch. Compelled to immediately look them up I discovered that Little Branch is "an Australian made artisan paper line … [Read more...]

A great deal of inspiration to be found at Artee Supplies

Paisley Designer Metallic
