A completely wonderful and M.A.D. exhibition for art lovers

Hey there everyone – I’ve got a very short and sweet Thursday edition of I love pretty things for you today as I am in the middle of moving hell. We are currently re-locating the Swish Design offices and yesterday taught me that no matter how organised you are with the whole ‘getting a new internet connection because hey, we’re web designers, we need the internet to work’ thing … something will always go wrong at the ISP end. Grrr.

Anyway, today is a new day and one where I can re-introduce you to the lovely Jess Winch. One of my favourites interviews ever on I love pretty things was with Jess last year (re-visit it here) so I am really pleased to share the details of an exhibition she is about to be part of. It is called M.A.D and is:

A group exhibition of Mother And Daughter artists celebrating the ‘feminine’ and the close bond that is instinctive between mother and daughter.

The exhibition started yesterday and will run until the 20th May at G A L L E R Y  A L O F T (Shop 2/654 Darling Street, Rozelle, Sydney)

Jess is exhibiting with her mum Madeleine and sister Martina along with a few other talented Mother/Daughter combinations. I have included some pictures of all their work below and if you are lucky enough to live in Sydney, you must get along and check it out!

Kitchen - Madeleine Winch

Harmony II - Jess Winch

Interalia III - Martina Winch
